El Sauzal Girls Softball Association, a new girls fastpitch recreation league just outside of Ensenada Mexico and led by Coach J.P. and fellow Board Members Irma Lozano and Steve Kipping, will hold their first board meeting on Saturday March 1st.
"We will be setting our Goals for 2008, appoint additional Board Members and set roles and responsibilities" says President "Coach" J.P. “Our aim is to build up our association over time to compete for the Baja State Championships next year versus other members of Baja Softball. And hopefully, in a few years, we expect to send our very best players to the State Team to compete in against the best players in California at the their world class tournaments”.
- El Sauzal Girls Softball Association, who is a member of the Baja Softball Association, will hold it's clinics for coaches in May and put on players clinics in June, July and August with the goal of running their first Winter recreation league in September for 3 divisions 12 and under, 10 and under, and 8 and under. They will recruit new players from local schools in both El Sauzal and the Valle de Guadalupe (Baja Wine Country)“We need sponsors, equipment, and leaders to get this thing going right. We are encouraging everyone in our Baja community to get involved for our kids. It’s going to be a great program for our community and help teach our kids self-esteem, competition, and teamwork”. says Board Member Dr. Irma Lozano
