Yesterday, community leader Dr. Irma Lozano and I met with the local DIF Director Armeida Sanchez in El Sauzal to secure fields and school support. El Sauzal is a bedroom community just north of Ensenada. The enthusiasm by city officials for our program is outstanding. Looks like we will be getting fields for the program shortly and that El Sauzal will have an association. It's very exciting.
Furthermore, I am working very hard to get our web site at www.BajaSoftball.com ready to present to the greater Baja and Softball Community. We know that our online presence will add value to our ability to build the bridges needed for us to meet our 5 Year Plan mission.
-The response to our plan to build Softball in Baja is unreal. The community leaders are wildly excited to have us and are supportive in every way. In Mexico, I have personally found the leaders to be easy to deal with. They are always receptive to things that benefit the community.
It's this kind of enthusiasm that tells us that we are moving in the right direction and in the end, the kids will benefit. So Exciting. This week we will keep working on the web site and get all things posted in both English and Spanish. Starting in 2 weeks, we will begin the process of net marketing to the Baja community to get Coaches, Umpires, and Sponsors. We are seriously making progress. Very Exciting!
